Queen Latifah
Dana Elaine Owens is an American artist and rapper, best than her stage name, Queen Latifah. Her work as a music as well as a film and television artist has earned an impressive the distinction of two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Image Awards. She also was awarded a Grammy Award as well as six additional Grammy nominations. Queen Latifah is the daughter of the Newark New Jersey schoolteacher and an Newark New Jersey police officer Lancelot Owens Senior was born and raised within Newark New Jersey. The couple split at the age of Latifah, then ten years was ten years old. Latifah, who was born and raised within Newark New Jersey attended Catholic school in Newark. Latifah means gentle and very generous. Her mother gave it to her when she was eight years old. Always tall, her height of 5'10 inches Latifah was a forward for her basketball team in high school. The song she sang was"Home" from The Wiz at a high-school play. Latifah started beatboxing for the rap group Ladies Fresh.
