Queen Latifah

Dana Elaine Owens, better known as Queen Latifah in the US, is a rapper and actress. Queen Latifah's work in music film and television has earned her an Golden Globe award two Screen Actors Guild Awards two Image Awards a Grammy Award Six additional Grammy nominations and an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination. Queen Latifah is a Newark New Jersey native. Her parents are Lancelot Sr. as a police officer as well as Rita instructor at Irvington High School. Dante Ross, an employee of Tommy Boy Music who heard the song and was signed by Latifah in 1988, to drop her debut track Wrath of My Madness.
