Dana Elaine Owens is an American artist and rapper, best known under her stage name, Queen Latifah. Queen Latifah is an American actor, rapper as well as a singer. Queen Latifah is a Newark New Jersey native. Her parents are Lancelot Sr. who was a policeman, and Rita who was a educator at Irvington High School. The couple divorced when Latifah was age of ten.
