Dana Elaine Owens - better than the general public by the name of Queen Latifah, is an American actor, rapper and a singer. The work of Queen Latifah in television, film as well as music has earned many prizes. They include the Golden Globe Award two Screen Actors Guild Awards Two Image Awards A Grammy Award Six additional Grammy Nominations An Emmy Award Nomination and an Academy Award. Queen Latifah is a Newark New Jersey native. Her parents are Lancelot Sr., a policeman as well as Rita, a instructor in Irvington High School.
